Johnston Photography has the opportunity throughout the year of photographing many area high school seniors. One in particular this year is already out making a name for himself. Stuart Streit has been a client of Sarah Johnstons since he was a small boy. We just love being able to share great news for our clients. Stuarts accomplishments are deffinately great news. Do you know what a joy it is to reconnect with someone after several years? Today was one of those days. Jane had been a regular client for some time. Things in her life changed and we lost touch. Today she walked back into the studio, looking fabulous!!! She is due to have a baby the end of Oct and was in for maternity portraits. I had so much fun with her and her husband Matt. What a great couple! Since the last time I saw Jane she has started her own company doing personal training for people in their home. WOW it took almost 3 days to make it work but our Senior website is up and looks great. www.johnstongrads.com Thought it was time to update everything on it. Colors, images. It now has only 2011 high school seniors. Some of the fun new things we are doing with them can be seen in the galleries. So far we have had kids from most all of the area schools. Unlike other areas our "Senior Season" lasts all year. Some want summer, some fall colors. We have some want to be photographed in the snow or wait until closer to graduation. Because we are not the yearbook photographer, we do not have the deadlines they have. We also have the luxury of customizing each season for the individual. So we welcome anything that the student wants to bring to personalize their portraits.
We have had wonderful Seniors so far. Personally I have had a blast photographing them, trying some new ideas, new props and backgrounds. I spend a lot of time studying and working on new ideas to keep things fresh and exciting for them. This years challenge has become- How many ways can we include 2011 in an image? Here is one idea, and I challenge everyone else coming in to come up with more unusual ways to do this. Don't stress about it though, I still have a few ideas!!
