For Holiday Cards that is. I had the honor of going to the Barry home a couple of weeks ago. My visit had a couple of purposes. One was to photograph Caitlin for her senior year. Then, to capture a few images of her and her sister before Meghan had to head back to college, and with her boyfriend as he was also getting ready to go off to college. Of course while I was there Karen thought it was time to update the family portrait. It is the family and the girls they have chosen to use for this years Holiday Cards. Becca Class of 2013

This is Becca. She is one of our Class of 2013 Seniors at Johnston Photography. She chose our Ultimate Senior Session. This gives her the option to have portraits in the studio and a location of her choosing. She chose Veteran Acres as her location. We had so much fun but had to work fast outside as the rain clouds moved in quickly! I know what you are thinking. We had a draught of a summer! But on this day it decided to wet on us anyway. She ended up with so many great options at her portrait viewing, it was tough to weed it down. This is a Designer Collection she has chosen. One of the many options at Johnston Photography!

Each year, without our prompting, one product seems to stand out. This year it was this 9 image Designer Collection. A 10x20 framed print offers clients a nice way to display more than 1 of their favorite Johnston Photography images. High school seniors have made this a hit, but we have had a couple of childrens portrait sessions select this product also. Graduation time is upon us once again. It has been such a great year around here for Johnston Photography Senior Portraits. We met some wonderful seniors from Marion Central, Cary Grove, Prairie Ridge, Crystal Lake South, Crystal Lake Central, Jacobs High School and others including home schooled seniors as well. Johnston Photography brought in some new products and graduation announcement designs. One of our favorites this year was a composit that is slightly different from ones of the past. Here is a sample of one such composite.

Johnston Photography has the opportunity throughout the year of photographing many area high school seniors. One in particular this year is already out making a name for himself. Stuart Streit has been a client of Sarah Johnstons since he was a small boy. We just love being able to share great news for our clients. Stuarts accomplishments are deffinately great news. Miss Crystal Lake 2012

This Saturday the Miss Crystal Lake and Little Miss Crystal Lake Pageant will be held at Crystal Lake South High School. Johnston Photography has had the honor of being involved with this wonderful event for many years. These girls work very hard to prepare for the pageant. They attend classes once a week and learn about presenting themselves in public. They also attend Crystal Lake Chamber Mixers where they are given the opportunity to meet some of the leaders in our community. Contestants in the past have not only gained self confidence but made some great connections in the Crystal Lake business world. There are 4 titles the girls compete for. Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, First Runner up and Miss Crystal Lake. Miss Crystal Lake will receive a scholarship for her achievement. Miss Congeniality is selected by the contestants themselves, and Miss Photogenic is voted on by all of the people that attend Expo on Saturday  before 1. So come on out and pick your favorite, then stay to see the final results!! The pageant starts at 2 in the afternoon. See you there!!

Custom Composites Always Available! {Senior Portraits Crystal Lake}

Senior portraits at Johnston Photography are all about the individual. We offer several pre-designed collages, but they do not always "fit" for clients. When that happens we design a custom collage for them. The client chooses the images and overall size they want, then I get to design it for them. This one for Melissa was based on another designer we offer. Because of the images she selected I had to do a little rearranging to make this work. The finished size is a 12x24 and comes with a simple black frame.
